The hotel was fine. What wasn't was finding that the Restaurant was only open between Monday to Thursday. Why isn't this on your website and on the reference pages of booking sites like Hotels.com? Many of us don't want to go out to find food in the evening. I choose hotels that advertise a Restaurant. Without any information relating to the opening hours of the Restaurant, we have to trust that it is open during my visit. The hotel was at least 50% full so it should have been economic to open the restaurant especially in peak season when a lot of eating places are on holiday.

The external parts of the hotel, the reception area and brasserie were new, clean and the staff were very pleasant. The room was tired, not clean and the bathroom was extremely disappointing, it needs to be replaced completely. At the very least, some bleach needs to be used to clean the mould and dirt from the bathroom.

We arrived early evening after a long journey. Reception was poor. We retired to our room, which was adequate, and opened a bottle of wine and had a nap. We went down for a drink at the advertised bar before a meal in the restaurant, only to find to our astonishment that both were closed and reception was unable to explain why or provide anything to eat or drink, added to no tea, coffee or snacks provided in the room. Having drunk some wine we couldn't drive and there were no restaurants nearby. We had to get by on some leftover travel snacks. A grim start to our French holiday. As a couple we are very slow to complain but this was simply the most awful and bizarre hotel experience we have ever had. No apologies or explanations the next morning.

We are sorry that you did not see on our site where it is indicated that our restaurant is closed on weekends.
My colleague pointed out a restaurant in Perigny, but perhaps too far on foot for you.

Regarding the cleaning in your room, it is noted on the reception on your arrival to ask us if you want the cleaning to be done during your stay. We put this in place during the pandemic and it reassures customers who for some do not want their rooms to be made.

Friendly staff my only complaint was that there was no facility for safe storage of bicycles overnight. Your staff wanted us to secure our bikes in a bike stand that was not even on your premises. Disappointed that you do not cater for the cyclist so on that basis could not recommend to other cyclists.
